I'm walking 100 kms this month to leave MS behind

208 KMS

My target

100 KMS

Support my challenge to leave MS behind!

I’m taking part in The May 50K for the MS Canada and the MS International Federation.

I will be taking on 50km throughout May and leaving my limits behind to raise funds for life-changing research into multiple sclerosis and better access to treatments!

There are over 90,000 Canadians living with MS and I need your help to leave MS where it belongs, behind us.

Combined National and Global action is the key to changing the future of MS, so I’ve accepted The May 50K challenge to change lives.

Please make a donation to support my challenge.

Thank you so much!

Day#23 6km walk with Vicki

After some beautiful rain showers through the night, the air was cleared of smoke, and sunshine and blue skies greeted us for our 7am walk.  Vicki and I had a brisk walk in the brisk 6c! What a refreshing start to a short work week.

Day#20 8km

Warm, smoky longest walk yet! Smell of the apple trees, flowers  crabs breaks thru the smoke walking thru town.  Beautiful blooms!

7am start and 2c, brisk pace needed! Calm,  less smoke today.  Beautiful change of scenery on that awesome walking path!

Day#17 5km w/Sam in Winnipeg

Tried to beat the wind by heading out at 630am, smoke still thick,  but calm  and cool 6c. Called Sam in Winnipeg and chatted the 5km away!

Day#16 6km with Cathy

Calm start at 7am, but the ever present hot, crazy wind picked up in the last few kms, carrying the smoke from the fires in Alberta 🙏
We need rain so desperately!
Cathy and I crossed the halfway mark to 100km goal today! On target😁

Day#14 Mothers Day 3km with Mom

Had a lovely Mother's Day coffee, lunch and walk on the trails in Olds, windy, but warm.

Day #12 5km at Airport

Started my walk around home, Earl couldn't seed, so he picked me up on the highway, and we headed to check on the plane and hangar, finished my 5km total around the taxi way. Beautiful evening!

Day#11 5km with Mandy & Benny

Humid, wonderful visit and walk today with neighbor Mandy and pup Benny, what a gorgeous mid day 6km (5km due to watch malfunction)
Blessed to have friends journey with me!

Day#10 4km Treadmill

Watching the Oilers playoff game!!!!
Had to do something to calm the nerves, treadmill it is!

6c, bit of hazy mist at 7 am for our 6km walk. What a beautiful start to the day after a rain shower last night!

Day#7 4km @ home

Cloudy Sunday morning walk around the hamlet and up the highway before a bridal shower for our niece to be....seeding progressing, need to add rain Dance to the walk routine.

Day#5 treadmill 4km

Day #4 was a rest day due to crazy winds and my scheduled date to walk seemed unattainable. Plus life got in the way, so got up with Earl when he left to seed, and walked the treadmill before the day got away on me. 4km with some incline  and Netflix works at 5am😁

Day #3 Drumheller 4km w/Terra

Walk along the river path with Terra &  the pups, Olive and Stormy, was a great way to visit in the 26c sun! 4km in 2 spurts because there are so many smells!

Day #2 with Cathy 6km

Calm, peaceful 7am walk around the hamlet with Cathy! Gorgeous sun, the birds are happy, great conversation make the kms pass quickly!

Beautiful day in Olds on the walking paths, smells of spring in the tree reserve, sunshine and ever present wind!
